One of the many things I love about Beirut is that the arts seem to be really supported. There's always flyers posted around town for some dance festival, or a music festival, or art shows here and there. And then there's the street art. It ranges from political to sexual to religious to totally random...

I have been reading your blogs and looking at all of your awesome pictures. I just want to say I think you are a world class citizen. I'm Lebanese and have not been to Beirut. It is refreshing to see it through your eyes because all I hear is how dangerous it is. You are very inspiring and I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip to Tanzania...and of course the pics.
